Winner of a 2018 Notable Design Award from Firehouse Magazine
The Fire Headquarters in South River, NJ, is a new construction 23,113 square foot station. Included is a 5,729 sq ft apparatus bay, firematic support spaces, offices, a day room, bunking, and exercise & meeting/training rooms. The multi-year project is the result of diligence and patience of the part of the Fire Department, the Borough, and the community. Site issues that were overcome during the project included an extensive location search, constructing the building on 325 pilings, and removal of contaminated soils.
