Project Description
Winner of a 2018 Notable Design Award from Firehouse Magazine
Construction of the new Schoharie Fire Station is complete. The 20,313 sq ft facility replaces the former station that was destroyed in 2011 when the community experienced serious flooding during Hurricane Irene. This 20,313 sq ft station includes a 6,000 sq ft apparatus bay, firematic support, offices, meeting/training room, exercise & firefighter’s room. Mitchell Associates provided a full set of services to the Niagara Engine Company #6, the all-volunteer Fire Company that has provided fire protection to the community since the 1830’s, including the following: feasibility study, programming, schematic design, estimate, assistance with FEMA grant, construction documents and construction administration.
